Simple, Great, and Cheap Self-Stick Window Birdfeeder!

This is going to make you smack your forehead.

I was sitting in my new travel trailer that has a lot of windows, watching the birds and wishing I had a window bird feeder. So, I designed and built a nice wooden one, based on one I had seen years ago. It's nice, but it takes time, materials and woodworking skills to make it.  It also takes up a lot of room in my tiny house.

One day as I was walking through Dollar Tree, I saw something . . .

Welcome Aboard! First trip - Granbury Texas!

Our first adventure ... Granbury Texas

We just sold our 3,000 square foot house and moved into a 19' travel trailer. We are going to travel! and see the nation! and have great times! As soon as we can get out of the yard!

Yep, that's it. The yard. The whole yard. .... and nothing but the yard. The weather has been awful in Texas, cold, rainy, foggy, yuck!

Let me back up a bit - in early December of 2018, we bought our 'dream' trailer. A 2019 Grand Design Imagine XLS 19RLE.  I have been looking at floorplans for 10 years for a trailer that had no slides, lots of windows and was under 25' long. Last year, we found it! Our dream trailer! 23.5' long, no slides, tons of windows and made by GRAND DESIGN - a manufacturer we have been drooling over for years. Until now they only made huge trailers.

We picked up our new home in a hurry - our mistake! If you get a trailer, please make sure you spend a LOT of time looking it over. Because, although our trailer is BEAUTIFUL and really WELL DESIGNED, it has a few issues. One is a leak that shows up along the baseboard, so we're not sure exactly where it's coming from. But, really, that's the only problem we have left. We weren't willing to leave town without getting all the little problems repaired, so we've been sitting in the yard. Or our friend's yard.

Our first quick jaunt is to Granbury, Texas. Granbury is a nice medium sized Texas town. The weather has been beautiful. We are staying in Bennett's RV Ranch, a nice RV Park associated with an RV Dealer. It's away from the shop area, though and has a nice play park for the kids and good bathrooms/laundry.

Granbury has a beautiful old downtown area with shops and a fully restored theater, restaurants and shopping.

Since we are now full-time, I thought we should splurge and get a few things to make our life easier! Our trailer does not have automatic levelers. We read about Anderson Levelers and The LevelMatePRO on a number of blogs and comments, so we have just ordered these! They are the closest thing to having an automatic level system!

. .
.These things will make setting up so simple - here's how!

The LevelMatePRO - it's a nifty little gadget that is mounted in your rv and sends a bluetooth signal to your phone letting you know when you're exactly level - or if not level, how much you need to lift one side to make it level! No more running back and forth to check the level! It reads level front to back and side to side. I can't wait for it to arrive.

Along with that, we have ordered the Anderson Levelers! You simply drive up on them until the wheel is up enough to make the rv level. Which you will know because the LevelMatePRO will let you know!
If you have used these, let me know what you think!

Stay tuned as we hit the road!
